On September 27th, Don Soffer High brought the spirit in the school's first Pep Rally of the year. Looking to the crowd of our teachers and student body, our school was proudly dressed head-to-toe in pink to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Students, teachers, and staff gathered in the gym to engage in various competitions between each grade: tug-of-war, ballon-pop challenge, push up challenge, musical chairs, and more...

Everyone took their seats in the bleachers, ready for the games to begin. Our school's incredible Student Government brought the spirit by passing out face paint, taking on microphone duty, getting volunteers from each grade to participate in the games, and demonstrating their exceptional leadership skills. And now, let's let the games begin.

Tug-of-War

During the spirited event, the entire school community came together to participate in the exhilarating tug-of-war competition. It was a sight to behold as freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and even staff members joined forces to engage in these intense yet amusing rounds of the classic game. The atmosphere was filled with a mix of tension and laughter as each team gave their all to claim their class' victory. The students' competitive spirit was on full display, evident in the sweat-soaked shirts and determined expressions that conveyed a singular message: "We must win this!" The friendly rivalry among the participants added an extra layer of excitement to the event, making it a memorable experience for everyone.

Push-Up Challenge: Red Faces & Crowd Praises

The push-up challenge was an intense game, to say the least. Soffer's strongest got up to participate in this tough challenge. Boys and girls lined up across the court: "1, 2, 3, go!" Down, up, down, up they went, with people dropping out of the competition every minute that passed. When it came down to the last four students, red faces and signs of struggle were shown. But they surely did not give up. A sophomore boy took the victory against his competitors from every class. It was quite impressive.

Repping Inter Miami– A Common Shirt In the Crowd

Along with the pink face paint to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month and demonstrate school spirit, Inter Miami was a clear crowd favorite, as shown by the vast number of students representing our beloved city of Miami's soccer team. And of course, the team of the great Lionel Messi.
