Soffer Vs. Hillel: A Victory & Redemption for Cuda- Girls Basketball- 12/19/24

On December 19th, 2024, the Varsity Girls Basketball team played an away game against Scheck Hillel. The last time the Cudas played the Lions, the Lions took the win with the final score being 42-37. Now that the two teams were going head-to-head again, it was time for the Cudas to get revenge.

The game began, and Don Soffer showed their dominance on the court. The first points were scored by Liana Kozko, bringing the Cudas into the lead. As the Cuda team kept their confident mindset through the early stages of the game, the score board kept going up for us Cudas. However, Hillel didn't stay too far behind, and suspense was building. Despite Hillel's scoring and determination on their end, there was no stopping these Cuda's from getting their redemption from the last time they faced Hillel in a girls basketball game.

The Cudas kept their defense up, preventing Hillel from taking the lead. On offense, major contributions were made by Liana Kozko, with a fiery 22 points, Angelina Gonzalez with 10 points, Mia Gal with 9 total points, and Eugenia Trias with 3 points. 

The Cudas played with teamwork and great effort throughout the game, allowing them to secure the victory with the final score being 44-28. The Soffer crowd raised from their seats and cheered when the final buzzard went off, and you could see smiles from ear to ear. As for the Cuda team, it wasn't just a victory, it was revenge.
